Curtain up on our new world-class facilities

23 June 2011

The champagne is chilling, we’re all wearing our posh frocks and smart suits, the foyer is bustling with last-minute preparations – today is the opening day of our brand-new facilities at RWCMD.

There are loads of performances from our very talented students, from a special performance of Under Milk Wood with celebrity guests, an opening gala concert in the Dora Stoutzker Hall, demos in stage combat and musical theatre, harps in the foyer, theatre design in the Linbury Gallery and, of course, plenty of fanfares.

Richard Burton’s daughter, Kate, will open the theatre named after her father by unveiling a bust of the actor that was donated to the College by Elizabeth Taylor.

The new foyer is teeming with television crews, radio broadcasters and press photographers, so keep an eye and ear out for us in the news over the next couple of days.

Right, off to join in the celebrations.
