Just a few of the graduate roles that have come to our attention of late…

Niamh McGrady

Niamh McGrady

Niamh McGrady recently appeared in BBC2 series The FallThe Guardian called it “one of the best BBC drama in years.”

At the RSC, Oliver Ryan (Acting, 1997)  is playing Jacques in RSC’s As You Like It and Rosencrantz in Hamlet while Katy Stephens (1990) appears as the ‘slinky, spiky‘ Tamora in Titus Andronicus at the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Alex Vlahos (2009) and Anjana Vasan (2011) both appear in Kenneth Branagh’s Macbeth as part of the Manchester International Festival.

Four Graduates are busy in the National: Eric Abrefa (2012) in the Amen Corner at the Olivier is attracting great reviews. Wilf Scolding (2013) appears as Gordon Evans in Strange Interlude and Lyndsey Marshal (2000) – as Emilia – and Rebecca Tanwen (2010) in Othello.

Clare Dunne (2009) has just featured in her first radio play as Violet in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (BBC Radio 4) alongside Toby Stephens and Joanna Lumley.

Jo Joyner (1999) and James Sutton (2006) were both nominated for awards in the 2013 British Soap Awards.

Tom Rhys Harries (2012) is currently playing the role of Dakin in The History Boys at the Crucible until the 8th of June.

ITV sitcom The Job Lot featured three alumni, Tony Maudsley, Zahra Ahmadi and Darren Strange.

Matthew Raymond (2012) is appearing in The Tempest at the Globe alongside alumni Amanda Wilkin, Jason Baughan and Gareth Pierce.

Alan Winner (2006) is embarking upon his first season as Artistic Director of The Hive Theatre Company in New York.

Lloyd Everitt (2010) has been cast in one of the leading roles as Claudio in the Old Vic’s Much Ado about Nothing directed by Mark Rylance and starring Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones.
