That’s what the Richard Burton Company – our resident company of final year actors – has in store in 2014.
In April, for the time ever, they’ll be performing four plays written and directed by their contemporaries as part of the NEW season.
Spring Awakening by Gary Owen was commissioned by RWCMD in 2010. It will be joined by three brand-new plays that will be premiered during the festival, written by some of the UK’s most promising new writing talent and developed with the Royal Court and Paines Plough.
The plays will premiere here in Cardiff in our Richard Burton and Bute Theatres, before moving to London’s Gate Theatre.
The NEW season in Cardiff will be accompanied by a range of free seminars and post-performance talks. Watch this space for details early next year.
