Who has commissioned or co-produced some of the potentially most interesting new theatre that is taking place over the next couple of weeks? The answer may be surprising – it’s not theatres but drama schools” – Lyn Gardner, The Guardian

As the cast and production teams for the NEW season – our festival of new writing – take four new plays to The Gate Theatre in Notting Hill, here are a selection of images from the Cardiff leg of the festival.

Dennis Kelly – writer of Matilda the Musical and Channel 4’s Utopia – appeared alongside Rachel De-Lahay, whose debut play The Westbridge won the Writers’ Guild Award for Best Theatre Play.
