Bryony Peach was training to become a trapeze artist, but injury brought her career as an aerial performer to a halt. She already had a degree in Humanities and Philosophy with the Open University, but her love of theatre led her to enrol the MA in Stage Management – and she never looked back.

Since graduating, Bryony has successfully developed an exciting career, with many different experiences:

“After a fantastic time at RWCMD, my first external placement was at The Watermill, where I joined the stage management team for the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie – an enormous show in a tiny theatre. From there I went to the other extreme at the National Theatre, as one of the ASMs on The Light Princess.

“Since then, I’ve made giant inflatable Elephantoms (pictured above) appear like magic, cooked and served The Big Meal in Bath six times a night, deputy stage managed an opera in a 200-year-old stone cloister, and I am currently dodging rain showers at Regent’s Park.

“Doing the MA was the best decision I ever made, I had a wonderful time in College and now make my living as a stage manager. I work with fellow RWCMD graduates on every job and it really gets you noticed.”
