It’s just been announced that international violinist Itzhak Rashkovsky will be joining the String Department as the Ian Stoutzker Chair in Violin.
The Russian-Israeli violinist is one of the most sought-after teachers in the UK, and performs as a soloist and chamber music player all over the world
Itzhak says: “When Ian Stoutzker asked me if I would join the faculty at the Royal Welsh College I agreed immediately without hesitation. I hope to bring to the College the same level of passion that Ian has so dutifully fostered over the years and am looking forward to sharing my knowledge, experience and love for music with the College’s many young aspiring violinists.”
Ian Stoutzker is a Fellow and supporter of RWCMD. Our concert hall is named after his late mother Dora Stoutzker, and the annual Ian Stoutzker Prize is one of the most coveted prizes for musicians at the college.
