Students from the college performed for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this weekend, as the royal couple visited Cardiff and Pembrokeshire.

The pair visited the Valero refinery – the company that supports our Young Actors Studio in Pembrokeshire.

Harpist Megan Morris, flautist Alexandra Griffiths, and Jazz musicians James Clark, Pete Komor and Rod Oughton performed at a reception for guests

When the Royal couple arrived, they watched three students from the Pembrokeshire branch of our Young Actors Studio – Ben Bubb, Yasemin Ozdemir and Henry Whittaker – perform the pieces they are working on in their Audition Techniques classes.

Yasemin (main picture, above) performed a contemporary speech from Heidi Dekker’s The Eye of the Beholder for the couple.  She said: “It was an utterly surreal experience, a real once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was such an honour to perform in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – an opportunity I may never get again and such a wonderful chance to showcase our talent.”
