Huge congratulations to the Veiga Piano Trio, who will perform in the Grand Final of the St-Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition next week.

The trio, made up of Charlotte MacClure (violin), Ricardo Tauber (cello) and Immanuel Voigt (piano) was one of three ensembles selected from six exceptional semi-finalists following a series of concerts at the prestigious central London venue last week.

Charlotte and Ricardo are both undergraduates at RWCMD, while Immanuel completed his MMus here in 2015.

The Grand Final, which takes place on Tuesday 22nd March at 7.30pm, will see the three remaining ensembles each perform a twenty-minute programme in front of a ticketed audience.

The winning ensemble will be selected by a panel of high-profile judges from the classical music world and there will also be an audience vote to select the winner of the Audience Prize.

Supported by St-Martin-in-the-Fields and the Making Music network, the winners will have the opportunity to develop a performance profile across the UK through a series of professional engagements.

Since it was established in 2010, the annual competition, open to ensembles of between three and eight musicians, has become a highlight in the diaries of London concert-goers.
