2010 Acting graduate Lloyd Everitt has been shortlisted for the Most Popular Newcomer award at the National Television Awards, for his role as Jez in BBC One’s Casualty.
Casualty is filmed in the BBC Drama Village in Cardiff Bay, the biggest BBC Drama production centre outside of London, along with Sherlock and Doctor Who.

Lloyd recently made headlines with his innovative way of overcoming his dyslexia. With a method he developed while studying at RWCMD, the actor rewrites his scripts using a series of pictographs to help him learn his lines.

Lloyd’s motivational story has been shared widely on social media, and has prompted a flurry of positive responses from other people with dyslexia.

After graduating in 2010, Lloyd become the youngest person to ever play Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, in a production aimed at secondary school students.
