OISTAT at 50: Celebrations at RWCMD this Summer

The International Organisation of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT) is fifty years old and they are coming to RWCMD to celebrate their half a century of cultural influence and international importance over the performance landscape.
The four-day celebration between 29th August and 2nd September 2018, with activities and events, including workshops, performances, exhibitions, and keynote speakers to celebrate the last fifty years.

RWCMD Students can come and join the conference for free, and volunteers from around the world are encouraged to apply to come and join the OISTAT community to help with workshops, performances and events.

Events will cover areas from performance design to technical theatre, theatre architecture to education and research. Highlights include a collaboration workshop with National Theatre Wales’s STORM project, and workshops with guest artists renowned Japanese scenographer Kazue Hatano, and leading scenographer and art director Aby Cohen.
