Welcome to our new Hodge International Chair in Jazz – Gilad Hekselman, star of the New York jazz scene!
As International Chair, Gilad has already been a regular visitor to the College,and has just returned for his first residency of this year.
He’s working with students towards the RWCMD Jazz Showcase in June, which will be directed by Gilad and will include the students’ original compositions as well as Gilad’s own music.
Gilad also spent this three day residency working with all jazz students in workshops and jamming sessions. When he returns in June he’ll spend a week with them reviewing the student’s new writing and the pieces selected for the Showcase.

The students will perform their Showcase in both Cardiff and London in June.
