“We are thrilled that His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, has continued to confer this honour on the College and we recognise it as a great privilege for our institution,’ said College Principal Hilary Boulding.

‘We’re enormously grateful for the interest that His Royal Highness takes in both the Conservatoire’s work and the progress of our students.”

Earlier this year The Prince generously hosted a Royal Gala at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the achievements of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. The evening featured a programme of performances showcasing the talents of the College’s young artists.

This coincided with the fifth anniversary of the launch of world class training and performance facilities at the College’s home in Cardiff.
