Royal Welsh College & Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Showcase Returns to New York

3 October 2018

This autumn the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School will once again be performing their Actor’s Showcase in New York.

Staged at an Off Broadway Theatre on Monday 15th October 2018, the showcase will feature recent American acting and musical theatre graduates from the Royal Welsh College and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

It will be open to agents, casting, industry guests, key friends and influencers of the College. This year, for the first time, with the generous assistance of our benefactors, we have invited British graduate actors to showcase their talent.

“America is very important to us and when our American students return home it’s important for them to have the opportunity to show the casting directors, agents, and managers what they can offer and where their training has led them,” said Patricia Logue, RWCMD Acting tutor and director of its 2018 showcase.

“This year, with the increasing UK presence in American films and major US TV shows, and thanks to our generous supporters, we have decided to open our US showcase to UK graduates, specifically those whose London agents have a strong presence in New York, collaborating regularly with casting directors and managers there.”

This unique collaboration from two of the UK’s leading schools brings their actors to the heart of New York City. All of the students have been trained to the highest standard at either Bristol Old Vic Theatre School or The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.

Both schools enjoy the support of UK employers, casting directors and agents, and through this showcase presentation hope that this confidence will now be shared by a new and ongoing American audience.

The 60 minute performance will take place at 1pm and 7pm on Monday 15th October at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, Pershing Square Signature Theatre Center, 480 West 42nd Street, NY 10036.
