Classical guitarist Zoran Dukić has been confirmed as a regular Visiting Guest Artist at the Royal Welsh College.
“Zoran’s international profile and wealth of experience as a performer and as a teacher is enviable,” says interim Director of Music, Kevin Price.
“From 1990-1997, Zoran won more competitions than any other guitarist in the world and he is the only guitarist to have won both “Andrés Segovia” competitions, in Granada and in Palma de Mallorca.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to develop our relationship with Zoran, who is undoubtedly one of the world’s most distinguished classical guitarists.”
Working around his touring schedule, Zoran will return to RWCMD as a visiting guest artist once a term.
Guitar students have had an exciting first term so far, with classes from three visiting artists since the beginning of term in September. Thomas Dunford (lute) gave a masterclass earlier in October, and guitarist and composer Gary Ryan will be returning later this week for a concert and masterclass.
