As the class of 2013 headed capped and gowned to St David’s Hall to celebrate their collective achievements at this year’s graduation ceremony, the College also took the opportunity to pay homage to its new Fellows:
Matthew Rhys, Rhys Ifans, Catherine Zeta Jones, internationally acclaimed actors of stage, film and television
Anna Williams, Artistic and Competition Manager of Cardiff Singer of the World
Thomas Kurrer, former President & CEO of Steinway & Sons Worldwide, working closely with the College, particularly in 2009, when it became the UK’s first All-Steinway Conservatoire
Tim Routledge, RWCMD alumnus and award-winning Olympics Lighting Designer
Llŷr Williams, international pianist, who will be returning to the College in 2014 to perform his award-winning cycle of Beethoven Piano Sonatas
John Fisher, master vocal coach, former Artistic Director of Welsh National Opera
Julie Gardner, former Executive Producer for BBC Worldwide America
Peter Curran, former RWCMD Vice Principal
Hats off to our new graduates and our jolly good fellows, who enjoyed a fabulous day of celebrations in the sunshine. Catherine Zeta Jones, Rhys Ifans and Julie Gardner will receive their Fellowships when they visit the College later this year.
