The latest addition to the College’s harp collection makes its professional debut tonight when international harpist Maria Luisa Rayan returns to perform in the Dora Stoutzker Hall.

Maria is performing a programme inspired by her Argentinian and musical heritage, encompassing the elegance of Bach and the fireworks of Piazzolla, before spending the rest of the week working with the College’s harp students.

Eleven harps on the Dora Stoutzker stage ready for the lunchtime recital

RWCMD’s harp collection came together earlier in the month for ‘Eleven Harps, a Flute and a Violin…’, a recital celebrating the 75th birthday of harpist/composer Bernard Andrés, and bringing together the whole of the harp cohort.
