Production and Design

Herons have made themselves at home in the College’s Linbury gallery for RWCMD Theatre Designers’ first installation.

BA and MA Design for Performance students’ first project is no small feat.

Designers created five extraordinary giant paper sculptures in their first week, using only paper, cardboard and tape.

The great blue heron, long billed curlew, spoonbill, scarlet ibis and greater adjutant stork can be found perched in the Linbury Gallery throughout October.

The students worked in collaboration with composition and lighting design students to complete the free exhibition.

Listen to the music below depicting the blue herons’ flight and hunt, written by students Fionntan Curran and Nathan Pallotto to accompany the installation.
