Our MA Arts Management students are all on placement at the moment, working across many different departments at the College, in roles from orchestral management to fundraising. This is the first of three placements that the Arts Managers embark on as part of their course, two of which are done here at RWCMD and another with one of our external partners, which include Wales Millennium Centre, National Dance Company Wales, Welsh National Opera and NoFit State Circus.
Tom Bevan is currently doing a programming placement, part of which was arranging pre-show events for Dear Esther Live. We paired up with student composers, visual artists, game designers and local gaming professionals to deliver an evening of free talks and demonstrations. Here’s a taste of what Tom got up to…
