One of the College’s newest Fellows, alumnus and renowned international musical theatre director, Anthony Lyn, will be directing the College’s Musical Theatre production in summer 2019.
Anthony recently attended the College’s graduation day at St Davids Hall, Cardiff, where he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship.
“I now live in New York,” said Anthony, “and so I’m delighted to be given this wonderful opportunity to come back and direct at the College that has meant everything to me for more than 30 years!”
Hodge International Chair of Drama and playwright Simon Stephens, has also been awarded a Fellowship. In November the College will stage the UK premiere of his play Rage, directed by Elle While, who directed Stephens’ Blindsided at the College to critical acclaim.
Stephens worked on Rage in development with RWCMD students and Vicky Featherstone, and will receive his Fellowship when he comes back to work with students and see the new production.
Other 2018 Honorary Fellows included award-winning alumni, lighting and set designer Ciaran Bagnall.
