Three out of four of the finalists of the 2016 Welsh Musical Theatre Young Singer of the Year are from Royal Welsh College.
Dafydd Gape, who was also in the final of The Stephen Sondheim Society student Performer of the Year, is joined by Michael Lowe, winner of the Ian Stoutzker Prize, and this year’s Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholar, Jonathan Radford.
Previous winners include RWCMD’s David Thaxton, winner of a Best Actor Olivier and star of Les Miserables, Passion, and Love Never Dies, and Luke McCall, who won in 2014.
Luke is currently performing in Les Miserables in the West End. He performed in Swansea’s 2015 Proms in the Park, and at the Covent Garden Piazza for the 2016 Olivier Awards. (Luke appears 7 minutes into the clip)
